To perform a SUM function, you simply start with the = sign in your cell and then enter the word SUM.
Then you open a parenthesis. The act of opening a parenthesis will allow you to specify the data to be calculated by the formula.
Double-click directly in the following worksheet in the cell N2 to display the formula and try to finish this exercise.
In the example above, position yourself to cell N2 and begin to write the word form ; then you select cells B2: M2, and finally you close the parenthesis. Automatically, Excel calcul the sum for the cells B2 to M2
Fill each row 3, 4, 5, 6 with the same function SUM to obtain that Excel calcule result on each one.
Using the icon bar
Go to the cell in N3 and click on the icon .
It is also possible to reverse the method by first selecting the cells B3:M3 and then you click on the icon Σ. The result will appear in N4.
