Special Paste - Copying a value

1. The following example presents a random series of figures based on the ALEA formula).

2. You want to sort out the list of values. However, each time something is activated (menu, cells…) the random series is generated anew.

|
|

3. Thus, before sorting out the list, you must convert each formula to a value.
|

4. Select the range of cells and copy it.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
5. Keep the same range of cells selected, go to the menu bar Edit/Paste Special.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
6. Check the check box 'Value' and then validate.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
7. The content of each cell is now a value instead of formula.
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
8. It is now possible to sort the list of values.
