Let's start with this sample to present how AI can help us analyze our data in an Excel worksheet.

This example is representative of any data analysis because we can build our analyze with

• Dates
• The hierarchy between the Categories, Sub-Categories, and Product Name
• The hierarchy between the Countries and the Cities
• Detail of each transaction with the Price, the Quantity and the Total

But for many people, the question is: "How can I use all this information to build my analyze?" 🤔

Let AI analyze your data

But before, we must insert our data into a table.

Indeed, adding the data in a Table will allow artificial intelligence to know the name of our columns and the data type. Thus, the analysis will be more accurate.

In this example, we have named the Table tbl_SalesData

Now, let's click on the tool Home > Analyse Data

Then, a new pane opens with a message telling us that the data are analyzed in the background. We will talk about that later.

And after a few seconds, Excel presents a list of Pivot Tables or charts of interest. But not only that, you can visualize more results at the bottom of the list of reports.

Improve the analyze

Now, if the different reports don't help you with your analysis, you can adjust the parameters.

Then, you can unselect the columns that are not useful for your analysis.

And then, new reports are generated.

How to import the result of the analysis?

If one of the reports generated by AI suits you, you have to click on the button +Insert Pivot Chart to create a worksheet with the result.
